    Kate Glasheen releases her first completely solo work. Part sketchbook, part poetry book; part graphic novel, and part diary; no matter how you qualify it, this is a book that should be experienced by all.

    While all of the Image 7 and the subsequent creators who joined Image were comic superstars, the addition of Jerry Ordway brought along someone with genuine ties to the Silver Age and the first bonafide legend to join their midst with he and Al Gordon’s Wildstar.

    Erik Larsen, the current publisher of Image Comics, is also the one creator who is still (and always has been) continuously writing and drawing his original Image contribution. And after rereading the initial issue of Savage Dragon, it isn’t hard to understand why.

    Jae Lee, now a worldwide superstar, was just starting out when he was working with Image and WildStorm back in the mid 1990s. After lending his art to other characters, he finally created his own world with 'Hellshock.' And there were definite signs of the Jae Lee we know and love today.

    Jim Valentino, once Marvel’s go-to guy for fill-in issues of their comics, lands at Image and brings his own creation, Shadowhawk, um… out from the shadows. We may now know who he was, but that doesn’t diminish this impressive first issue.
