Five days before arriving in stores on June 15, HAWKMAN #41 (APR050337) sold out at DC Comics!  This issue, written by Justin Gray & Jimmy Palmiotti and illustrated by Joe Bennett & Ruy Jose, continues the yearlong storyline that leads up to a stunning finale in October’s issue #45.

“We are really thrilled with the overwhelming response the book has received recently, and the sell-out is a clear indication that new readers are giving the book a shot as well and continuing to buy it…which is the greatest thing any monthly title can have happen to it,” says Palmiotti.  “Justin and I are trying to give the fans the finest possible book we can, month after month, and the art by Joe Bennett and Ruy Jose is some of the most exciting examples of graphic storytelling being done today.”

“I want to personally thank the fans for their support, especially the people that gave us a second chance and came back to Hawkman,” says Gray.  “If you enjoyed #40 and 41, rest assured we're just getting started.  Issue #45 is going to be a shocker!”

“We’re happy to see sales momentum growing as this story heats up,” says Bob Wayne, VP — Sales.  “Retailers should check their orders on upcoming issues as we close in on the finale to this story.”

Upcoming issues of HAWKMAN are available as follows:

• HAWKMAN #42 (MAY050233) is available for advance reorder and is scheduled to arrive in stores on July 13.

• HAWKMAN #43 (JUN050367) is solicited in the June Previews (Volume XV #6) and is scheduled to arrive in stores on August 10.

• HAWKMAN #44 (JUL05230) is solicited in the July Previews (Volume XV #7) and is scheduled to arrive in stores on September 14.

DC does not plan to go back to press on this issue at this time.  Please note that copies may still be available at retail.
