Digital comics publisher Komikwerks (www.komikwerks.com) has announced yet another coup: JOHNNY SATURN, a gritty superhero webcomic created by writer/artist Scott Story and writer/editor/letterer Benita Story.

JOHNNY SATURN will update 7 days a week until it runs through the archives; thereafter new episodes will premiere on Fridays on AOL and Saturdays at komikwerks.com.

"Johnny Saturn illustrates the tale of a hard-bitten mystery man and the crazy meta-human world he lives in," says co-writer and artist Scott. "Johnny's gritty world can perhaps be described as 'The Dark Knight Returns,' or 'Sin City' crossed with Neil Gaiman's 'Neverwhere,' with a little bit of Michael Moorcock's 'Eternal Champion' thrown in. Of course, any time you mix Greek mythology, angels and demons, battles with addiction, and 19th century Romanticism, you are bound to get some pretty bizarre tales - that's Johnny Saturn for you!"

"We've been looking for a superhero title to add to our growing stable of high-quality webcomics, and Johnny Saturn more than fits the bill," says Steve Horton, online comics editor for Komikwerks. "I especially like the grim tone of Scott & Benita's plot and Scotts terrific pencil work."

If the title sounds familiar, Johnny ran for several months on another site, but the version presented on Komikwerks differs in one significant way - it's in color!

Check out JOHNNY SATURN on AOL Fridays, and on www.komikwerks.com on Saturdays!
