Top Cow, the #1 comic book publisher in sales per title over the last 13 years, will exclusively offer free comics books online through a new deal with America Online's RED service for teens.

AOL RED members will be able to view the full 22 page issue of Witchblade #1 and starting every Wednesday, Top Cow will release a new comic exclusively online.  To access Witchblade, Top Cow’s flagship property currently celebrating its 10th anniversary and also known from the popular TNT television series, go to the Comics and Anime section on AOL's RED service.

“This is an amazing opportunity to reach out beyond our current fan base and attract some new ones,” said Top Cow President Matt Hawkins.

After running several issues of Witchblade, Top Cow will introduce other tittles such as The Darkness (which has a film deal at Dimension and a video game developed by Starbreeze, published by Majesco and due out in mid 2006), The Magdalena, Aphrodite IX, Wanted, and Proximity Effect, to new a few.  Top Cow has launched a new property in the industry’s top ten in the last 20 years and an unprecedented 20 times in the last 13 years.

“This partnership with Top Cow represents our commitment to provide the most compelling and relevant content available on the Web to our more than 5 million teens using the RED service,"  said Malcolm Bird, Senior Vice President, AOL Kids & Teens.

Utilizing Top Cow's proprietary flash-based comic book reader, generally agreed to be the best interface for comic-reading on the entire web, you can turn the pages with your mouse and even zoom in.  To view a demonstration of the online reader, please visit http://topcow.com/reader/438.
