Frank Miller's next film following Sin City 2 & 3 and The Spirit won't be comic book related. That doesn't mean the project ain't right up his alley.

Miller, who's done an incredible job of turning himself into a household Hollywood name in a short timespan, has been hired by Universal Pictures and Strike Entertainment to adapt Raymond Chandler's noir novella Trouble Is My Business. Sin City'sClive Owen will star as private eye Philip Marlowe.

"Frank Miller knows more about noir than anyone I have ever met, and clearly the writing of Raymond Chandler has been an enormous influence on his life and his work," Owen told Variety. "Miller adapting Chandler seemed like a perfect match."

Trouble Is My Business is a collection of four stories in which Marlowe is hired to protect a rich old guy from a gold digger, runs afoul of crooked politicos, gets a line on some stolen jewels with a reward attached, and stumbles across a murder victim who may have been an extortionist.
